Strange Realizations

I came to a strange realization or epiphany today… For years I have wanted to go to the San Diego Comic Con… But the concept, while apealing to me, logically, I can’t go… I say logically because, well, I don’t deal well with large groups of people… I get very anxeity-y if that is even a word or term… I started to think even more, recently, WHY I would go to the con… Sure they have some cool celebs, and many from 90% of the shows I watch… Even past that, I used to want to go, because I wanted to meet famous people, like Kevin Smith (Who, I seem to have outgrown my infatuation with) But now, I would only want to go for one reason, if David Tennant was appearing in one form or another… All because of Who… I just finished season 1, with 9, but, the moment Ten Showed up as a regenerated Doctor… I smiled like a fooled idiot…

DT Brought so much life to the character, so much… Just, I can’t even put words to it… He brought a character to life that I never imagined could top 9′s Doctor… But he did, in spades…

Anyways, yeah I was laying in bed wondering what I would do if I met all my like TV heroes… BUT I dunno, I don’t think I could… well ok, if I found out Mike Rowe was gonna be there, I SO would be there… That man is just awesome… I want him to read my eulogy or tell me I have Cancer if I get it or whatever… Then it wouldn’t seem like such bad news ya know LOL…

On that note…

Raise a glass to Capt’ Phil if ya will… The man will forever have my respect…

Tv Shows

So last night I caught the first episode of Bones… Made me wanna start watchin it again… However I am gonna take Doctor Who to work, and see if I can watch it over from the beginning :> hehe :>

Today I am gonna work on a friends computer, and hopefully get that squared away then get my new monitor setup in the bedroom and get some of the surround system up and running… Well some of the speakers…

All this in probably 4 hours LOL well hopefully :>

What a busy summer this is turning out to be…

Well, first of all, yeah, long time no post, blah blah blah… Well in my absence I managed to watch all 9 seasons of Smallville to date, and start Supernatural… Which ok, Smallville rocks for several reasons, one is Chloe, and another is just the rich story telling… and YES, season 8 and 9 kind of took a veering towards the shark jumping, but hey, it’s still pretty cool…

Supernatural, on the other hand, is pretty cool, First couple of episodes were kind of meh, but it’s getting better… Not as good as Psych, or Burn Notice, or White Collar, but hey, what IS? ;> My personal nitpickings aside, it’s a solid show, and the character of Dean cracks me up :>

Now, on to why this summer has been busy…

We bought a house… Yeah, a house, full on homeowner… Creepy, I can feel the get off my lawn shoutings welling up, well if I had a lawn that is ;> it’s all zerascaped so… Yeah… No mowing the lawn ;>

We live around the corner from my folks now, which is awesome, since it’s a neighborhood I have lived in nearly all my life… Which is nice, since I am more and more hermit like and don’t go out during the day, it’s nice to know it’s a safe neighborhood :>

But yeah… moved in 2 days, and cleaned the apt in half a day… and… yeah… If you ever buy a home, do so, in the winter… Cause it was 114 one day and 112 the other… That was the “Official” temp… I registered 117 in one spot… YAY for the desert!

Anywhos…

Just got the computers setup, and still have some unpacking and work to do… But, it’s been an experience… Exhausting, but fun… The cats are all enjoying the hell out of it…

Lost Series Finale and Chuck Season Finale

If yer about to read this, know that there are spoilers contained within…

First of all, What in the hell were they thinking with the lost finale… Ok yes we got one question answered… the sideways flash wasn’t a sideways alternate universe at all… it was purgatory so to speak…

What was the Island, why did THEY get picked, what WAS the light…. Oh well… I guess too much to expect..

Chuck on the other hand… HOLY CRAP… The end of the season was… AMAZING, They topped LAST season which was AWESOME!

Chuck’s mom is alive, Chuck’s dad is dead, but was a spy himself… And Eli knows Chuck’s Secret… Eli stepped up to help plan his rescue… Great overall Episode…

The fight scene was fantastic, with Jeffster providing the soundtrack…

So glad Chuck is monday, and I am on a high from it now :>

Now back to Smallville…

Been awhile again

Been a busy month… Like really busy… Good and bad…

First the bad… We lost one of our kitties, he was very near and dear to both of us… VERY dear to us…

The good, we have something in the works, which I will mention later when it’s final… but yeah…

Started watching Smallville… We started when it FIRST started, but, we lost CW on our cable/dish, so we stopped… BUT I have been watching season one, halfway thru it or so… and enjoying the hell out of it…

AND

Doctor WHO!… Holy hell Smith is doing great as the new Doc, he’s no Tennant, but he’s makin the role his own…

Now I need to send in my Wii in the next couple days to get it repaired… Hopin its nothing major, but eh…

Is her 5 minutes over yet?

Kate… I am tired of her, tired of her ignorance, and just in general tired of her wasting our time with her sniveling and… yes I watched th you tube of her… attempt at a dance to Paparazzi…. The judges were kind to her… I’m no dancer, but… it made NO sense…. The song was poorly chosen and the dance was… hypnotic in its awfulness… I am sure Jon was watching from home wondering how he could have been sober and wanted her… Well ok I was sitting at home wondering how big the hit was that he obviously took before he said yeah, sure I’ll marry you…

The previous week he whined about how her dance instructor was teaching her, saying she couldn’t get it… I have NEVER see someone who has whined so much and fought SO much to NOT do something…

Shake, roll, and jumpy

So… yeah, that pretty much describes the quake…

7.2 about 90 miles from where we live or so…

Ironic, as I am writing this, I feel another aftershock… LOL

No, ok that is the big news right now… We felt a HUGE quake… 7.2 magnitude… Pretty heavy stuff to digest… Not on the… literal scale, but on the, we were there, now we are here, but I am there, but I was THERE, but now I am here…

Yeah, my sense of space time and stuff gets all wonkey sometimes… I can’t fully explain it, I wish I understood it… But I been feeling “off” for the day previous to the quake, and then the day OF the quake and since then, i have felt… wonkey,  heinky, whatever you wanna call it…

And now, I am ready to do the rest of my work, and go home before I nap and get up at 2 so I can go run a VERY important errand before I come back home and go BACK to bed

Stargate

Well, I am watching Stargate Universe at work from time to time, catching back up… Kinda, re watching them before 1.5 starts up, and AFTER having watched all of SG-1 and Atlantis… SG:U is a different kind of show, but, it’s still Stargate…

Been enjoying it, and I must say, David Blue is the man! He’s great in it, and, he’s a fan of the show, and it shows… (By show I mean SG-1 and Atlantis)

Lately been kickin back watchin my shows when I can in-between walks… And catching up on Corrie as well… But to be honest, I enjoy watching them more on the big tv with the wife :>

In a ROW!?!?!?!?!?!?

I am on day… 31… in a row.. OF 37… Well at least I HOPE it’s only 37… I will find out THAT for sure on Weds next week… I’m starting to feel the exhaustion pretty good now… I am needing more and more sleep every night, because lately my sleep hasn’t been the most quality of sleep, mostly due to my own anxiety over WHEN I will have a day off… I don’t know when I will have one, I assume it will be next Friday, but then I could be wrong as well… It all hangs on how the relief audit’s foot is doing… We are down 2 FD people right now, one of which is the relief audit, which means I really don’t have ANYONE who can come in…Very frustrating, but it’s all a case of, all things pass right?

When I started here, I worked 44 days in a row, and it was also, 3-11 on 2 nights and 11-7 on the other 5… BUT then again, I was also fresh off working 7 nights a week anyways… Now, not so much, too used to having days off, and being able to sleep more on my days off, so I’m slowly fading… I slept till 4:30 today, and then we got Papa Murphys and then… went back to bed at 6:30ish till 9 again…

I’m hoping that on Wednesday I wake up to a nice msg on my phone or phone call saying, yer off friday LOL

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the money… but at what cost ya know… Ok, now for another walkaround, and then some more Coronation Street…

Long stretch of work

I am going to be working solid up thru what looks like the 25th…

I started this stretch in the 17th of February… 2nd longest stretch I have worked here… As of today, I am really starting to feel it… It’s not bad, it’s just little things I notice like walking the halls and not realizing I was already at the end of the building… Not remembering entering the building LOL… Mostly things associated with repetitive tasks. I don’t mind, I mean I can use the money…

But I am noticing that I am doing more with time management…

Up around whenever, from 7-10 is Star Trek online and loading up my flash drive… And then, shower and ready for work, then Work…

I can tell you for sure that I will enjoy the fuck out of my first day off after this stretch… 37 in a row BTW if I am off on the 26th… Not that I am counting or anything ;>

I guess the biggest thing I miss is spending time with my kitties… But they all make sure I get some face time before I go to work… Abby has even started jumping up on the bed… which is disturbing, but cool… I mean, a 17lb cat on your chest tends to wake you up rather suddenly, especially when you cant breathe…

Ok, now its time to clean up and head home :>
